Does this sound like you?
- Neck pain or stiffness after a crash, even a minor one
- Back pain that started after the accident
- Headaches that began days or weeks later
- Numbness or tingling in your arms, hands, legs, or feet
- Pain in your shoulders, upper back, or between your shoulder blades
- Pain that showed up after you told everyone you were fine
Why we start with the source, not the symptom
A fender bender can leave very little damage on the car and still strain the muscles, ligaments, and joints of your neck and back. Symptoms are often delayed. Many people feel fine at the scene and only notice pain, stiffness, or headaches days or even weeks later.
Dr. Erik Slovin focuses on auto accident and personal injury cases and is certified in the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment. Every new patient starts with a detailed examination to identify the specific areas involved, and your findings are documented from the first visit. We work with attorneys and insurance companies so you can focus on getting better. If we find that chiropractic is not the right fit for your case, we will tell you and refer you to the right provider.

Common questions
Should I see a chiropractor if I feel fine after a car accident?
Yes. Symptoms after a crash are often delayed by hours, days, or longer. An exam soon after the accident gives you a clear record of your condition from the start.
Why did my pain or headaches start days after the accident?
It is common for symptoms to appear after a delay. Soft tissue and joint injuries in the neck and back do not always hurt right away.
Why do I have numbness or tingling in my arms or hands?
Nerves that run to your arms and hands exit through the neck. When the neck is injured, those nerves can be irritated, which can cause numbness or tingling.
Do you work with attorneys and insurance companies?
Yes. We work with attorneys and insurance companies on auto injury cases. Bring your claim information to your first visit.
Will my auto insurance cover chiropractic care after an accident?
It depends on your policy. We accept most major insurance. Call (203) 840-0000 and the front desk can answer questions before you come in.
Do you treat whiplash?
Yes. Whiplash is one of the most common car accident injuries we see. Read more on our whiplash page.
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?
No. You can book directly with us. Some insurance plans have their own requirements, so we check your plan before your first visit.
Do you take insurance?
We accept most major insurance. Call (203) 840-0000 and the front desk will confirm your coverage before your first visit.
